What you need to know
1
Make a Wish List
Get inspiration from home décor magazines. Browse through our website and catalog (and be sure to put notes in the margin of things that interest you).
Visit your store and get inspiration from our selling center.
The more you can consider what you really want, the more satisfied you will be with your dream kitchen in the end.
2
Select a Style
Are you more traditional? Or more modern?
Classic or Shaker? Take a close look at our cabinets and finishes to see what look fits your decor.
Is it elegant cherry for you? Or more casual oak
or hickory? A light finish or rich, deep tones?
How about a glazed finish with its hand-rubbed look? The more you start to decide, the easier
it is to get things going.
3
Take a Measure
A great kitchen starts with an accurate measurement. Be sure
to measure your room carefully in order to sketch out the
current layout. (Download our handy online Kitchen
Planning Guide, complete with grid paper, to make
the job easier.) You will need to indicate the plumbing,
electrical, windows, doorways and any obstructions
so that the designer can create a workable plan. Download the Planning Guide in Spanish
